A 3D model of Mecha Eli-Chan from Fate/Grand Order! Though, a rather more... 'Gifted' version.

This model has both an animation rig and VRChat package and a range of features to make her more enjoyable!

(Warning: The Screens inside of the cockpit can only be seen by users on your friends list. This is a VRChat limitation and can only be changed with an update to how VRChat handles cameras.)

How to use (for use in Blender)

  • Prerequisites
  • Use as-is:
    1. Open the blend file
    2. That's it
  • Import into a Blender file with other models:
    1. Go to File>Append

    2. Find and select EliChan.blend
    3. Open the "Object" folder
    4. Ctrl+Click the "Body", "SpineCurve", and "Tail" objects. Click Append.
    5. Select all of the "WGT" objects in your scene. Right click them in the list, click new collection, drop them in there, and click the checkmark to make them all disappear without deleting them.
    6. There you go, you're done.

How to use (for use in VRChat)

  • Prerequisites:
    1. Unity Hub w/Unity version 2022.3.6f1
    2. VRChat Creator Companion
    3. The EN/JP version of Mecha-Eli's VRChat release
    4. Final IK Stub Package
    5. Poiyomi Shader
    6. VRCFury
  • Installation (From scratch)
    1. Create a new Avatar Project with VRChat Creator Companion

    2. Make sure these packages are installed. Make sure you have the right version installed, as the more recent versions of the SDK have a different upload process!

    3. Open the project
    4. Drag and Drop the Mecha Eli-Chan package (EN or JP) into the assets window and click import

    5. Import the "Final IK Stub" package in the same way.
    6. Open the "Eli" folder and then double click the Unity Scene that matches your need (non-optimized versions are rated poor)

    7. Open the VRChat Control Panel. Log in.

    8. Click the "Builder" tab. Fill out things such as name, avatar description, content warnings, etc. Make sure to set the avatar as Private! You may also select a thumbnail.

    9. Click "Build & Publish" at the bottom. Once it's finished, you're done!

      • Cockpit toggles opens/reveals and closes/hides the cockpit for other players to enter. Once entered (by sitting in it) the cockpit slides up into the chest by disabling the toggle. Cockpit includes screens using cameras to give the Mecha player's POV.
      • Central Monitor Displays a static POV from between the eyes. Side monitors display view to the left and right of the head. Peripheral monitors display view from below the bust.
      • In order to activate the chair, is it required to activate the Cockpit Chair in the Moveable Avatar Chairs menu.

Known Bugs

Bugs, if found, will be put here. Fixed bugs will be placed in the section below.

  • Blender
    • Due to how the "Clamp to" modifier works, the cockpit is prone to snapping to the end of the curve if the torso rotates to angles greater than 90°. If a fix for this is found, it will be added, but due to the ability to work around this bug without significant issues outside of specific movements (and the fact the cockpit is hidden inside the torso and its exposure is optional) this bug was allowed in the rig. I do no know if Blender has a workaround or plugin for this issue.
